About the Designer
Michele graduated from UMASS Boston with a fine arts degree concentrating in painting and photography. However, she has always been drawn to the world of fiber arts. Using mostly silks, velvets and embellishments, she loves to craft art and modern quilts, fiber jewelry and handbags.
Recently, Michele's "Midsummers Night Dream" Pie made it on the front cover of Jo Packham's new book "Pieography".
You can also see Michele's studio in the Feb. 2013 issue of Where Women Create and her collaborative Quilt "Exquisite Journey" in the Feb/March 2013 issue of Quilting Arts. And her quilts and studio in Where Women Create: Quilters, Their Quilts, Their Studios, Their Stories
She has written articles and How To's for magazines, and her designs have appeared in books and she has made many appearances on National PBS Craft shows. She lives in CT where she loves to garden and be with her family and friends.
Michele has written her first book: "Quilting the New Classic", 20 Inspired Quilt Projects Traditional to Modern Designs published by Sixth & Spring.
